Brings me back! Mixed memories, mostly good. Wonderful, honest tribute. And I do love the picture of you modeling some of the merchandise. I remember buying an “Ag is My Bag” tshirt for a friend who gifted it to a friend of his whose partner was named Agnes!

Loved this tribute to someone whose name I knew and whose gardens I’ve visited. I had very little knowledge of this man and his life.

Thanks, Denise! Yes, he spent most of his life in Wisconsin. But he often returned to Iowa without making any headlines, and Iowa was never far from his mind.
