Cheryl Tevis doesn't allow an important quality-of-life issue to slip under the media radar until after it's too late. This is essential reading for all consumers. Period.

This is a very good analysis of what is happening to pharmacies and pharmacists all over Iowa and our country. Thank you, Cheryl.

You're welcome, Kathi! Doesn't it seem as though this should be a bipartisan issue?!

It certainly should be a bipartisan effort. Seems like a no brainer.

Thanks for covering this Cheryl - my senator and rep (Gruenhagen and Kaufmann) basically campaigned on this all Spring at their listening posts, and still nothing happened? WTF? And we use Express Scripts but my husband just discovered that HyVee charges a LOT less for some subscriptions, so we're moving them there. He's 81 with COPD, high blood pressure etc. We spend many thousands of dollars on meds every year. I don't know how most folks do it.

Thanks, Suzan. If you have a chance to contact your senator and representative, ask them about the hold-up! I'm afraid that with the property tax, eminent domain, and other oxygen-sucking issues, it will get lost in the shuffle again. Thanks.

health care is a human right and should never be profit driven. I hope you read Mother Jones, they just published an article on how vulture capitalism is killing patients when investors buy hospitals and close maternity wards. the stories of real people are heartbreaking because these mothers did not need to die...

Yes, thanks. Private equity also has purchased nursing home, with ill effects for our vulnerable elderly.
